GoFundMe page for family of fallen Trooper Trevor Casper raises over $42,000

Trooper Trevor Casper Fundraiser

On his first solo assignment, Wisconsin State Trooper Trevor Casper was shot and killed in Fond du Lac attempting to apprehend a bank robbery and murder suspect on March 24, 2015.

After learning of Trooper Casper’s heroic actions and sacrifice, Asher Heimermann reached out to Kiel Police Chief David Funkhouser to seek approval to create a GoFundMe page to assist the family with funeral expenses. The page was created with a goal of $10,000. In just one day, 288 people donated over $11,200.

In a few short weeks, over $42,550 was raised for the Casper family. Chief Funkhouser ensured the donations reached the family.
